Choose your major
Everything else depends on this. Not sure? We'll help you pick based on your interests and the real admit odds.
Pick your target UCs
Choose a reach, a match, and a safety. We show real admit rates for your major at each campus.
4
Build your course plan
Add the major-prep courses your UC requires (pulled live from ASSIST) and the GE/IGETC you need — term by term.
5
Plan your general ed (IGETC)
IGETC is the 7-area GE pattern that satisfies lower-division GE at every UC. Knock it out alongside your major prep.
6
File your TAG (guaranteed admission) Sep 1–30
6 UCs (Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz) guarantee admission if you meet the contract. File in September of your apply year.
7
Draft your personal insight questions
UC asks you to answer 4 of 8 prompts (350 words each). Draft them with Cori — it knows your plan and background.
8
Submit your UC application Nov 1–30
One application covers all UC campuses. The filing window is November 1–30 the year before you transfer. Apply early.
9
Review offers & commit (SIR) Apr–Jun
Decisions arrive in spring. Compare offers and financial aid, then submit your Statement of Intent to Register by June 1.
